Today, the Command & Conquer 3 community page GameReplays.org released an interview with our German RTS player Pascal 'Dackel' Pfefferle. Dackel recently won the World Cyber Games, making him the WCG Champion.
Gamereplays asks him about the event, his matches and how he prepared for the event. You can find a small nippet below.
Quote:
Congrats on winning KW WCG! Overall, how was the event?
Dackel: Altogether, the World Cyber Games 2008 was a tremendous, but stressful event, that I will definitively remember for a very long time. The media attention afterwards was just gigantic, considering I was the only German to win a gold medal in my home country. The event had its positive aspects, but there were also certain things that need to become better at next year's WCG in Chengdu, China.
Tonight, our Quake player Gareth 'GaRpY' Marshall will be competing in the LowLandLions Quake Live Cup. For the January edition of this cup, LLL decided to switch to Quake Live for all its Quake tournaments. This is a one night cup with 16 players in a BO3 match system. The cup starts at 19:00cet and will go on all night until we have a winner.
Our Portuguese Trackmania driver Pedro 'Moriah' Benjamim has again made an excellent movie about some world record rounds by him. This time it's tracks from the ESL Major Series, the movie has an excellent video quality and it's over nine minutes long.
FIFA has been around for a long time in the competitive eSports scene. It had its ups and downs but has still managed to stay at the top and maintain a huge community. That is why our British FIFA player Chrisy Bullard has written an article about the future of FIFA in the E-Sports from his perspective.
2008 has passed very quickly and it has been yet another great year for Team Dignitas, once again. As usual we would like to thank our players, fans and of course our very supportive sponsors. Thanks to our sponsors we have expanded the Team Dignitas brand even further attending 91 events across the globe.
We really have had a fantastic year and we would like to thank all our sponsors Intel, Scan Computers, EA Sports, Creative, Razer, ZyXEL and Dell for the major support that they provide for us. We have great things planned for 2009 and we hope that all of you will keep supporting us so we can achieve these plans together. In 2009 we will continue to support our fans and the communities for the games we play so watch out for some cool stuff.
